Io leggo perché - Let's donate a book to schools
Librerie aderenti di Torre del Greco
Organised by Comune di Torre del Greco
"Io leggo perché" returns to Torre del Greco, the national campaign to promote reading in schools organised by the Italian Publishers Association. From 7 to 15 November 2026, participating bookshops in the city will collect books for local schools. For every book purchased by students, the Municipality of Torre del Greco donates a second book to the schools, chosen directly by the children. The initiative is part of the Administration's policies for the spread of reading and implements the Educational Pact, involving schools, students and families. The participation was communicated to school headteachers by the Councillor for Public Education and the competent official. To take part, simply go to one of the participating bookshops and indicate the school to which the book should be donated.
Period: from 7 to 15 November 2026 How it works: for every book purchased by students at participating bookshops, the Municipality donates a second volume to the schools, chosen by the children, until the allocated funds (10,000 euros) are exhausted Participating bookshops in Torre del Greco: Alfabeta Bookstore, Digital Group, Le Meraviglie di Alice, Controcorrente, Duemme, Tuttoscuola More information: https://comune.torredelgreco.na.it/novita/io-leggo-perche-dal-7-al-15-novembre/
