The Municipality of Sicignano degli Alburni celebrates the 108th anniversary of 4 November with a commemorative ceremony in honour of the fallen of the First World War and of all wars, as a testimony of the population's closeness to the Armed Forces. The morning programme includes the gathering in piazza Biagio Germano, the procession towards piazza Plebiscito, the Holy Mass in the Chiesa San Matteo e Santa Margherita and the transfer to piazza Umberto I for the flag-raising and the laying of a laurel wreath at the Milite Ignoto, with greetings from the authorities. In the afternoon the commemoration moves to the hamlet of Galdo degli Alburni, with Holy Mass in the Chiesa Santa Maria dei Magi and the laying of a wreath at the Monumento ai Caduti.
