Pessoa Luna Park a Castel Sant'Elmo

The moat of Castel Sant'Elmo, previously inaccessible to the public, opens for the first time to host Pessoa Luna Park, an open-air cultural park that transforms a disused urban space into a summer meeting point. From July 16 to October 4, 2026, with a break from August 10 to September 2, the large basin hosts XXL games, concerts, DJ sets, film screenings, theater performances, and live podcasts, designed for a young audience but open to all ages. The gastronomic offering is entrusted to CU.QU., Irpinia Mood, Mar Limone, and Staj Noodle, who reinterpret the Campanian tradition in a contemporary key. The event is open from Thursday to Sunday.
Cinema all'aperto - Napoli Contemporanea

Ten films from the Neapolitan scene enliven the summer evenings in the park of Villa Floridiana. The series mixes recent titles with contemporary classics, with guests such as Edoardo De Angelis, the Manetti Bros and Alessandro Rak. Each event starts at 7:30 pm with a guided tour of the Duca di Martina Ceramics Museum, followed by the screening at 9:00 pm. The single ticket of 5 euros covers both the visit and the film. The program touches on very different works: from "Averno Hotel" and "Nostalgia" to "Ammore e malavita" and "L'amico del cuore", offering a cross-section of contemporary Neapolitan cinema in a historic setting.

11th Annual Meeting of Alleanza Contro il Cancro

Naples hosts for the first time the 11th Annual Meeting of Alleanza Contro il Cancro, the main Italian event on the most advanced strategies for cancer prevention and treatment. Promoted by the National Oncology Network of the Ministry of Health and organized by the Istituto Nazionale Tumori IRCCS Fondazione Pascale, the meeting brings together leading international experts, including Douglas Hanahan, Jerome Galon, and Janis Taube. From September 10 to 12, 2026, researchers and clinicians will discuss new therapies and organizational models for the fight against cancer, consolidating Naples' role as a hub for oncological research.

In Piazza Municipio sarà installata un'opera temporanea del Maestro Ibrahim Mahama, composta da tre sculture in legno raffiguranti barche. Contemporaneamente, presso Castel Nuovo, sarà allestita una mostra site-specific del Maestro Nino Longobardi, che dialogherà con opere di Vincenzo Gemito. Entrambe le esposizioni sono a ingresso gratuito.

Voyageurs - Installazione di Ibrahim Mahama

Castel Nuovo hosts an unprecedented dialogue between two protagonists of Neapolitan art: Vincenzo Gemito, sculptor and draftsman of the late 19th century, and Nino Longobardi, a leading figure of contemporary art. The exhibition, curated by Vincenzo Trione, is part of the "Napoli Contemporanea 2026" program. The exhibition route winds through the Sala dell'Armeria and the Cappella Palatina, comparing works, languages and visions of two masters separated by a century but united by a common expressive tension. The opening is preceded by the dance performance "Tufo" with Raiz, staged in the monumental courtyard of the Maschio Angioino.
