On August 22, 2026, the Monastery of Montevergine hosts the offering of the votive candle to Saint Eustochia Smeralda, the religious woman born in Mercogliano in the 15th century and venerated for her life of prayer and charity. The day unites faith and community: three Eucharistic celebrations mark the program, with the participation of several priests. The central moment is the evening Mass at 6:30 PM, during which the mayor performs the act of entrustment of the city and the candle is presented. Afterwards, the faithful walk in a thanksgiving procession from the monastery to the saint's birthplace, symbolically retracing her path.

The Festival delle Fiabe – Ti racconto la città returns to Avellino for its third edition.
