The heart of the tradition is the Volo dell’Angelo, which at noon on 30 August sees a little girl cross the square suspended in the air amid prayers, then return in the evening with a dedicated moment. The religious programme opens with a septenary from 24 August and culminates on the 29th with the solemn Mass presided over by the Archbishop; the following day, after the morning and afternoon celebrations, the procession winds through the streets of the centre. On the civil side, on Saturday 29th the band plays in Piazza Neviera in the morning and in Piazza Umberto I in the evening, where a DJ set then starts until late at night. On Sunday 30th there is a tribute to Renzo Arbore with the Zanzarita Orchestra, while at midnight fireworks frame the Castello di Gesualdo.
