Origine della popolazione di San Leucio e suoi progressi fino al giorno d'oggi colle leggi corrispondenti al buon governo di essa
Caserta (CE)
From 28 to 30 July 2026, the Ferdinando courtyard of the Monumental Complex of the Belvedere of San Leucio hosts the one-act musical comedy "Origine della popolazione di San Leucio e suoi progressi fino al giorno d'oggi colle leggi corrispondenti al buon governo di essa", produced by the group Anticanti, Musica Popolare. The show retraces the history of the Royal Silk Colony wanted by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, intertwining folk music, theater and narration to give voice to the ancient laws and the social utopia that made San Leucio a unique enlightened experiment in Europe. A cast of live voices and instruments animates this choral tale, giving the audience the legacy of a community born around silk and a dream of progress and good governance.
